Waltz is one of the smoothest partner ballroom dances, and naturally in 3/4 time. It is a dance marked by long flowing movements, turns and rise and fall.

Quickstep is a quick version of the Fox-trot. Comprised of quick stepping and among the most difficult of the ballroom dances.

Tango is one of the most fascinating of all the ballroom dances. Essentially a sensual partner dance that originated in South America, in the early twentieth century.

Rumba/Rhumba is the slowest of the Latin American dances and a romantic partner dance of Cuban origin.

Cha cha (or Cha-cha-cha) is a lively dance full of energy and with the classic Cuban motion which gives the

cha cha it's unique style. It's basic step is similar to that of the Rumba/Rhumba.

Bossa Nova means "New trend" - particularly popular in the UK during the 1960's. Still a popular style of Brazilian dance and derived from the Samba.

Class costs: £36 per term.
